First time climbing outside, and what a trip it was! My friend and I were privileged to be accompanied by two very experienced climbers who taught us everything, from how to read the rock, how to clip in more effectively, how to set up an anchor and rappel from it, and lastly, how to belay more intelligently. Out of the three days we were there, we spent two days climbing. On the first day, we climbed a 5C route and tried a 6b that was a bit too "scary" due to the nature of climbing outside. On the second day, we were feeling more confident and managed to lead climb a 33m route that was graded 6a+, followed by attempts to climb a 6c+/7a route (unsuccessful but possible - wish we had more time!).
